On the Bernina Express… the red train, the worlds most beautiful railway, the most spectacular way to cross the Alps. I love a red train with huge windows that you can lower to take photos. It feels like this is that little train that could. I think I can… I think I can… I think I can and before you know it you have passed the clouds and this train just keeps on climbing and it is electric so it’s a peaceful easy feeling.

We started way back before that light “V” between the mountains on the left of the photo. Passed the valley where they grow the herbs and make Ricola cough drops and I thought that was all marketing.

The houses start to look like little boxes way down there and the Larch trees start turning gold, orange and losing their needles. The trees start to disappear altogether. Higher and Higher we go…
